Minecraft cape checker

What this checker looks at

• The official Mojang cape - Migrator, Vanilla, 15th Anniversary, MineCon and the rest - whichever one the account currently has equipped in the Minecraft profile.
• OptiFine - the donor cape shown to everyone running OptiFine, including custom banner designs.
• MinecraftCapes - the free cape mod's uploads, pixel or HD, still or animated.
• LabyMod, TLauncher, 5zig and SkinMC - each mod or launcher's own cape, in the format that client actually serves.

How to use it

• Type a Java username and hit Check. Every provider is asked at once; each cape that exists shows up on the right with its true size.
• Click "Wear in 3D" to drape any of them on the player's own skin. Drag to turn the model, flip the texture onto elytra wings, or set the pose flying.
• Download the PNG to get the exact texture the provider serves - HD stays HD, animated strips stay animated, nothing is rescaled.

Good to know

• Some formats stay flat. LabyMod (and some launcher capes) use their own sheet layout that does not map onto the vanilla cape model, so those preview as an image instead of in 3D.
• Java accounts only. Bedrock capes are tied to the marketplace and are not served by username from anywhere public.
• Nothing is uploaded. Your browser asks capes.dev (the cross-provider cape archive) and a public skin host directly; this site never sees the lookup.
